Teens raising funds for injured colleague

Family and friends of Roxbury teenager Angelique Payen were hopeful that she was on her way to recovery after an ill-fated car ride left the driver dead and she and two other passengers in intensive care.

"She was up, walking and talking," said the Payen's mother, Vaughnda Payen. "We thought she was going to be okay."

But last week, routine hospital tests found an annurism in Payen's brain. She has been drifting in and out of a coma ever since.

Payen was one of four youths who allegedly left the Biarritz Lounge on Dudley Street in the early morning hours of August 7.
