REUM TO SEC: President Bush nominated James M. Reum, a senior partnerin the Chicago law firm of Hopkins & Sutter, to a seat on theSecurities and Exchange Commission, a law firm spokesman saidWednesday. Reum, 45, joined Hopkins & Sutter in 1979, andspecializes in securities and corporate law. If the Senate approveshis nomination, Reum will serve five years. He's replacing Edward H.Fleischman, who is retiring. PHAR-MOR DEAL: Phar-Mor received permission from a bankruptcy judgeto tap $50 million of bankers' collateral to pay vendors, resumemerchandise shipments and keep its stores operating normally.
